BlackRock CEO Attempts to Downplay ‘Woke’ Label
Larry Fink, the CEO of the woke investment giant BlackRock, tried to tell his fellow CEOs that it is not “woke” for businesses to prioritize things like diversity or the environment over profit. “Stakeholder capitalism is not about politics. It is not ‘woke.’ It is capitalism,” Fink said, later adding, “Businesses can’t do this alone and they cannot be the climate police.” Maybe losing West Virginia’s $8 billion stung a bit more than Fink wants to let on.
