Geoff Morrell resigned from his position as Disney’s chief corporate affairs officer after his woke response to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law cost the company its special privileges. Morrell crafted the statement condemning Florida lawmakers for the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill, frustrating parents and Republicans alike. Within days, lawmakers had stripped Disney of its right to self-governance. In a statement announcing his exit from the company, Morrell said, “After three months in this new role, it has become clear to me that for a number of reasons it is not the right fit.”
