ESG Legality Appears to be Up in the Air
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich penned an op-ed this week questioning the legality of woke ESG dictates. ESG investing has specifically targeted the energy sector, even working to get woke environmental activists on the board of Exxon. Brnovich argued that this could be the “biggest antitrust violation in history may be in plain sight.” He noted that ESG requirements would harm American energy companies, driving up the costs of foreign energy – and lining the pockets of their investors while harming Americans. Brnovich will be investigating the ESG trend to see if it violates American antitrust laws.
