‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ Gay Dialogue Removed in China, Warner Bros. Says ‘Spirit of the Film Remains’
After weeks of shouting the word “gay” at Florida politicians, the Hollywood filmmakers behind the new “Fantastic Beasts” movies agreed to censor a scene that references that Dumbledore – the famous wizard – is gay. The Chinese Communist Party told Warner Bros. that the film could not air unless the company removed the six-second scene and the company agreed. Apparently, woke LGBT support is only important when it doesn’t cost a company to lose out on a 1 billion-person market.
