How Republican-led states are targeting Wall Street with ‘anti-woke’ laws
Several states are taking a page out of Florida’s book and implementing policies similar to the STOP WOKE Act. West Virginia, Texas, Arkansas, and others are rolling out policies that will limit the types of trainings workers can be forced to attend on issues such as critical race theory or gender theory. They’re also targeting financial institutions that use ESG (environment, social, governance) investing to discriminate against some businesses, such as fossil fuel providers and gun manufacturers.
