Microsoft Word’s Spellcheck Goes Woke
When you see the squiggly red line under some text in a Microsoft Word document, it might not be a spelling error. Instead, Microsoft may be warning you that you are not woke enough. The tech giant announced that it would be updating spell check to remove offensive terms like “manpower” or “postman” to replace them with less offensive terms like “workforce” or “postal carrier.” The program will also recommend replacing “Mrs” with “Ms” because apparently, being married is offensive now, too.
