Musk makes $43 billion offer for Twitter to build ‘arena for free speech’

Elon Musk is putting his money where his mouth is to protect free speech. The SpaceX founder announced on Thursday that he made an offer to buy Twitter for $43 billion and take it private. Earlier in the week, Musk announced that he would not be taking a seat on the company’s woke board because the two sides disagree on the issue of free speech. Musk noted that he believes the only way for Twitter to grow is to become a platform for free speech. It’s not yet clear if Twitter will take him up on his offer.
