Spotify Sends Old Man Neil Young Packing After Woke Ultimatum
Aging activist musician Neil Young issued an ultimatum to Spotify: Either get rid of Joe Rogan or I’m out. While Young certainly has the right to pull his catalog of music, Spotify wisely showed him the door. Young argued that Spotify was allowing Rogan to spread misinformation to his audience of tens of millions each week about vaccines. But Spotify politely told Young – and the woke mob – to pound sand. Did Spotify smartly realize that policing the opinions and positions of all of the artists on their platform is untenable, or did they simply calculate that Joe Rogan has a lot more listeners than Neil Young?
