State Farm donating transgender books for 5-year-olds to schools in Florida
Emails leaked to Consumers’ Research revealed that State Farm had partnered with the GenderCool Project to distribute books about gender transitioning to children. The three books distributed, including A Kids Book About Being Transgender, A Kids Book About Being Non-Binary, and A Kids Book About Being Inclusive, teach children that they can identify as any gender even if it differs from their biological sex. In an email about the project, State Farm’s “corporate responsibility analyst” said, “The project’s goal is to increase representation of LGBTQ+ books and support our communities in having challenging, important and empowering conversations with children age 5+.”
