Success Of ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ Puts Excuses For Disney’s Failed, Woke ‘Lightyear’ To Bed
Disney’s newest woke film Lightyear crash-landed at the box office after sparking yet another woke controversy by including a gay kiss in a cartoon. But many were slow to blame Disney’s woke agenda for the film’s failure. Instead, they claimed cartoon ticket sales were just down generally because of streaming and other issues. That narrative imploded after Minions: The Rise of Gru raked in more money in one weekend than Lightyear has in three weeks.
