After Palihapitiya revealed his lack of empathy and willful ignorance of Chinese politics, the Golden State Warriors issued a vague statement dismissing his role with the team by calling him a “minority owner.” In turn, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton called on the NBA to demand Palihapitiya sell his shares of the Warriors – if the team truly disagreed with his comments.
