Texas Republicans hammer Citi’s abortion policy, calling it a ‘woke’ company in a pro-life state

Lots of corporations love being located in Texas’s friendly business climate, but many of those companies refuse to abandon the woke policies they should have left behind in New York or California. This week, Citigroup followed that trend by announcing that it would pay for employees to leave the state to get an abortion after Texas’s new restrictions take place. In response, Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush ripped the company, stating, “The ‘travel benefits’ offered by Citigroup is nothing more than a PR stunt by a ‘woke’ company to support a culture of death.” Matt Rinaldi, chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, took it a step further and urged conservatives to “avoid entrusting their finances with Citibank and other companies that are hostile to them and their values.”
