University of Nebraska Changes Logo to Avoid Imagined ‘White Supremacist Gesture’
Herbie Husker, the mascot for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, has been altered to remove a racist hand gesture. (For those who are non-woke, a small group of activists believe a majority of white America is quietly part of the KKK and think the “okay” hand symbol is a secret sign of white supremacy—despite the rest of the planet only seeing “okay.”) New depictions of the mascot will feature Herbie with a number one gesture, instead of the racist okay.
