Woke Investor Blasted for Trying To Bully McDonald’s Into Granting His Vegan Wishes
Carl Ichan, a prominent woke investor known for tearing businesses down and selling them for parts, has been harassing McDonald’s in an attempt to get them to effectively stop selling sausage – meaning no more McMuffins for you. In an op-ed, Rick Berman of the Center for Consumer Freedom warned that Ichan’s demands for pork production go far beyond what veterinarians have determined to be best for pigs. “The activist game on pork, eggs and chicken is not about treating animals differently. Their agenda is all about finding ways to make farm production much more expensive so the increased price of protein will encourage switching to lettuce and tomatoes. Food-service companies should insist that consumers, and not well-heeled activists, are the ones in control of what’s on the menu,” Berman wrote.
